Hannah Lim (b. 1998, London, UK) is a Singaporean-British artist working in sculpture, installation, and drawing. Her work frequently explores the relationship between her two heritages, looking particularly at how that relationship has been reflected through furniture design, architecture, and objects.

Recently, she is exploring how Classical Chinese literature has focused on particular enchanted creatures, objects, and mythical storytelling. Taking inspiration from texts including the Classics of Mountains and Seas and Pu Songling’s Tales of a Chinese Studio, her ornamental yet animistic sculptures and paintings take on a storytelling quality whilst also referencing her own journey of identity searching.

She received her BA in sculpture from the University of Edinburgh in 2020 and her MFA from The University of Oxford’s Ruskin School of Art in 2022.

She has recently been featured in group and solo exhibitions at the Royal Scottish Academy, UK; Saatchi Gallery, UK; Edinburgh College of Art, UK; and the Royal College of Art, UK, among others. Lim is currently based in Oxford, UK.
