Paula Wilson (b. 1975, Chicago, IL) is a multimedia artist known for creating works that incorporate print, collage, textile, painting, and video. Her holistic practice stems from her life in Carrizozo, New Mexico: the high desert terrain, native wildlife, and the life she has cultivated with partner Mike Lagg with whom she often collaborates. Wilson’s diverse and eclectic artworks address recurring themes of feminine power, natural life systems, and acts of art-making which are drawn together in the name of reinvention and awareness.

In the heart of Carrizozo, Wilson and Lagg run an arts organization MoMAZoZo and collaborate on the Carrizozo Artists-in-Residency Program.

Wilson received an MFA from Columbia University in 2005 and a BFA from Washington University in 1998.

She has been exhibited at the Albuquerque Museum, NM; Bemis Contemporary Art Center, NE; Colby College Museum of Art, ME; Center for Contemporary Arts, NM; and the Tang Teaching Museum, NY, among others. Her work is in the collections of the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, PA; Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, MO; Studio Museum Harlem, NY; and the Yale University Art Gallery, CT, among others. She lives and works in Carrizozo, New Mexico.
