Several of the gallery’s exhibited artists have close ties to Chicago and the Midwest. Donald Sultan – who will debut new work at this year’s fair – received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute in the 1970s, some forty years after Harlem Renaissance sculptor Richmond Barthé finished his formal training at the Institute. The gallery’s presentation will include Interception-Lion (1984) by Emma Amos, a never before seen, monumental painting including the artist’s own weaving. The work was made 1 year after Amos’s Black Dog Blues, included in the AIC’s collection.

Her work has subsequently been exhibited in major solo exhibitions throughout the United States.
At EXPO, the gallery’s presentation will debut new works made specifically for the fair by represented artists Josh Dorman, Masako Miki, and Gideon Rubin.
